Job Summary

This role involves ensuring the reliable, secure, and high-performance operation of the data center's storage and backup systems, focusing specifically on enterprise-level hardware and underlying Linux environments. Day-to-day tasks include installing, configuring, and administering SAN directors, access switches (Broadcom), and core/edge storage systems from Hitachi (G5600) and Fujitsu (DX-series). The specialist will manage backup systems, including Virtual Tape Libraries and Tape Robots, ensuring tested recovery processes. A key requirement is multi-year professional experience in Linux server administration, ideally with Red Hat Enterprise Linux, and good knowledge of SAN/Storage technologies.
