Job Summary

This role is for an Electrical Technician supporting the Technical Monitoring Center of the Federal Criminal Police Office (BKA), initially assigned to the Federal Institute for Real Estate Tasks (BImA). The core responsibilities involve ensuring the continuous, smooth operation of technical systems, especially low and medium voltage power supply facilities. The technician will operate various Building Management Systems (BMS/GLT) and the Fire Alarm Management System, working in alternating shift duty (24/7 coverage). Key daily tasks include analyzing status and alarm messages, troubleshooting faults, performing minor maintenance on critical infrastructure like UPS, emergency power, and large battery systems, and supervising external contractors during maintenance. Candidates must possess a State-Certified Technician qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience (minimum 5 years) and be prepared for mandatory security clearance and shift work, including weekends and holidays.

Required Skills

Education

State-Certified Technician in Electrical Engineering (Staatlich geprüfte Technikerin / staatlich geprüfter Techniker) or completed vocational training in the electrical field.

Experience
