Job Summary

This role involves actively shaping and implementing strategic initiatives at the intersection of biology, artificial intelligence, engineering, and medicine at a leading molecular medicine center. The Science Manager will report directly to the Head of Strategic Initiatives, supporting the Scientific Directorate in developing institutional strategies, particularly in Bioengineering and Prevention Research. Day-to-day tasks include researching strategically relevant topics, coordinating complex, multidisciplinary projects (including the new AI-Accelerated Molecular Innovations Center), drafting grant proposals, and building strategic partnerships nationally and internationally. The ideal candidate holds an advanced degree and a PhD in a relevant scientific field and must possess strong strategic thinking, project management skills, and excellent English proficiency to drive interdisciplinary, data-driven research initiatives forward.

Required Skills

Education

Advanced university degree (Master's level) in Natural Sciences, Medicine, or Bioengineering, and a PhD in Natural Sciences, Bioengineering, or a related field

Experience

  • Experience in creating scientific concept papers and third-party funding applications
  • Experience in scientific evaluation and/or identifying new research fields
  • Experience working at international research institutions
  • Experience in managing complex, multidisciplinary projects (including planning and organizing workshops and events)
  • Professional experience in natural sciences, medicine, or bioengineering (advantageous, but not mandatory)
