Job Summary

The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join Prof. Maike Sander's group in Berlin. This role focuses on understanding how transcription factors influence beta-cell maturation, utilizing cutting-edge multi-omic approaches within a collaborative research environment. The successful candidate will design and implement innovative research strategies using human pluripotent stem cells to create advanced model systems for studying beta-cell maturation and failure. Key responsibilities include applying state-of-the-art molecular biology, tissue culture, and next-generation sequencing technologies, including single-cell sequencing, to analyze transcriptional networks. The position also involves systematically interpreting multi-omic datasets, formulating hypotheses, driving projects towards publication, preparing scientific manuscripts, presenting research at international conferences, and contributing to methodological innovation and collaborative projects.
