Job Summary

The Max Delbrück Center for Molecular Medicine is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Researcher to join the research group of Dr. Hanna Hörnberg, focusing on the molecular and cellular basis of behavior. This role is crucial for understanding how translational modulators regulate synaptic translation, linking this process to synaptic function and behavior. Day-to-day responsibilities include applying and developing molecular biology tools, utilizing omics methods (proteomics, ribosome profiling) on genetic mouse models and primary neuronal cultures, and integrating complex multi-omic datasets. The successful candidate will characterize the effects of translational modulators on the synaptic transcriptome, translatome, and proteome, while also presenting and publishing scientific findings. This position offers an international, collaborative environment, opportunities for professional development, and the chance to contribute to cutting-edge research in neuroscience and molecular medicine.
