Job Summary

This role offers a unique opportunity for a Research Associate or PhD Student to contribute to cutting-edge research within ScaDS.AI Dresden/Leipzig, a leading German competence center for Big Data and Artificial Intelligence, established under the German government's AI strategy. The successful candidate will join a structured, multi-disciplinary PhD program, aiming for academic qualification (typically a PhD) within three years. Daily activities involve advanced research in core areas of AI theory, hardware, mathematical foundations, applications, or societal aspects of AI, utilizing outstanding high-performance computing infrastructure. The position requires an outstanding university degree (M.Sc. or equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, coupled with very good programming skills and strong AI/ML knowledge. The role is fully funded (E 13 TV-L) and offers a strong international orientation, including guest programs for research stays abroad.
