Development Engineer, Electrical Design | Ingenieur (m/w/d)

Job Summary

This role focuses on the responsible design and conceptualization of electrical architecture for civil and military power generation units. Day-to-day tasks involve designing electrical redundancy and protection concepts, selecting system components, creating detailed manufacturing documentation (schematics, wiring diagrams, and BOMs), and ensuring technical quality through collaboration with internal departments and external partners. The engineer will also be responsible for evaluating customer requirements, creating specifications, and supporting system build, testing, and commissioning. Key requirements include a university degree in Electrical or Automation Engineering (or equivalent technical background with further qualification and professional experience), strong knowledge of complex electrical systems, and fluency in both German and English. The position offers flexible working hours and partial mobile office options in Altenstadt, Bavaria, within a technology company focused on security-critical applications.
