Job Summary

The Federal Railway Authority (EBA), specifically the German Centre for Rail Traffic Research (DZSF), is seeking an Administrative or Business Economist for a fixed-term contract until June 30, 2030. This role focuses on project funding assessment and management under the 'Federal Program Future Rail Freight Transport' guideline. Day-to-day responsibilities include the business and funding law review of grant applications, ensuring the economic and appropriate use of funds, and providing consultation to applicants. The role also involves budget management, project controlling, quality management for research projects, procurement processing, and public relations, including workshop organization. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Administrative Economics, Business Administration, or Public Administration/Management, or possesses eligibility for the higher non-technical administrative service. Strong knowledge of business administration, procurement, and grant law is highly desirable, along with proficiency in MS Office.

Required Skills

Education

FH Diploma / Bachelor's degree in Administrative Economics, Business Administration, Public Administration / Management, or a comparable field; or eligibility for the higher non-technical administrative service in the Federal Administration.

Experience

  • Experience in the awarding of grants/subsidies (desirable)
  • Experience in budget management
  • Experience in Project Controlling and Quality Management (desirable)
  • Professional experience with the PROFI system (desirable)
