Job Summary

This role is for a dedicated Requirements Manager focused on software products essential for the Planning and Construction division of Berlin’s largest water utility. You will be instrumental in guiding the entire software lifecycle, from initial concept through final deployment and ongoing development. Key responsibilities include gathering and documenting stakeholder requirements for new software procurement and development, ensuring that solutions align with user needs and established standards. Furthermore, you will serve as a crucial interface, bridging communication between the Planning and Construction unit, the IT department, Procurement, and external vendors. The ideal candidate possesses a strong background in IT project management, requirement management, and both classical and agile project methodologies, coupled with the ability to translate complex technical matters into audience-appropriate language. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the stable operation and modernization of critical infrastructure in Berlin.

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in IT Project Management, Process and Project Management, Geoinformatics, Construction Informatics, Business Informatics, or Industrial Engineering; OR Bachelor's degree in Informatics or Business Informatics (with relevant experience as an IT Project Leader).

Experience

  • Professional experience in Requirements Management
  • Experience in Project Management in classical and agile environments
  • Practical knowledge in IT Project Management or Process and Project Management
  • Funded knowledge and experience as an IT Project Leader (required if alternative Bachelor's degree is held)
