Job Summary

This role is for an Application Specialist focusing on the Laboratory Information System (LIS), specifically Swisslab, for a leading international healthcare provider in Berlin-Siemensstadt. You will be the primary point of contact, providing 1st and 2nd Level Support to lab users and managing the entire LIS administration and configuration. Day-to-day tasks include overseeing the complete laboratory workflow, from order acceptance and sample logging to results transmission and archival. A critical component of the job involves participating in interface projects, utilizing standards like HL7, LDT, FHIR, and ASTM, and integrating new analytical devices. The role requires creating technical documentation, work instructions, and training materials. The ideal candidate possesses a medical background (e.g., Medical Technical Laboratory Assistant) combined with a strong interest in IT, including basic knowledge of SQL and ticket systems, and preferably experience with Swisslab.
