Job Summary

The Bavarian State Office for the Environment (LfU) is seeking a versatile and committed Technical Officer to join their Air Quality Measurement team in Augsburg. This role is critical for ensuring high-quality, comparable air quality data across Bavaria, aligning with EU reporting requirements and international standards (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025). Day-to-day responsibilities involve managing the transfer of measurement data to the Federal Environment Agency for EU reporting, responding to technical inquiries, and generating reports and documentation based on data analysis. The successful candidate will also support the maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) documentation and assist with procurement processes for measurement and lab equipment. This position requires a university degree in environmental engineering or a related technical field, strong data analysis skills, and excellent German and good English proficiency.
