Job Summary

This critical role seeks a Lead Business Architect specializing in Data Management and Governance to define and drive the enterprise's data strategy within the pharmaceutical industry. The successful candidate will act as a bridge between business objectives and data capabilities, ensuring data is treated as a strategic asset. Day-to-day responsibilities include aligning business architecture with the IT landscape, developing and maintaining data governance operating models, and ensuring strict adherence to regulatory requirements like GDPR and HIPAA through collaboration with compliance and legal teams. You will also lead cross-functional data governance councils, translate complex business requirements into data management capabilities, and mentor junior staff. This position offers a hybrid setup, requiring 2-3 days on-site in Ingelheim or Biberach, and is eligible for part-time work (80%).

Required Skills

Education

Master's degree in Computer Science or a comparable related qualification

Experience

  • Long term experience in business architecture, enterprise data management, or data governance roles
  • Proven experience driving enterprise-wide data governance and management initiatives
  • Experience preferably within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and executives
