Job Summary
This role involves developing and executing the comprehensive PR and communication strategy for UMG's Technology Transfer unit, focusing on promoting research findings into medical applications. The Communication Manager will be responsible for media planning, public relations, and coordinating cross-location communication efforts with partners in Lower Saxony. Key tasks include building and maintaining relationships with relevant press contacts, managing the website (including Typo3), supporting social media channels, and creating diverse content (text, image, and optional video). The ideal candidate must possess a university degree, relevant professional experience in a similar role, and excellent English skills (native level preferred). Experience in the Pharma, Biotech, or Research sectors is highly advantageous, alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities and familiarity with content creation tools and MS Office applications. This is a challenging yet collaborative position within a highly professional, multidisciplinary unit focused on translational science.
