Job Summary

This crucial role involves providing dedicated administrative and operational support for the new Special Research Center (SFB) 1690, focusing on disease mechanisms and functional restoration of sensory and motor systems, located at the University Medical Center Göttingen. The coordinator will be responsible for the day-to-day financial management of the SFB's third-party funds, executing procurement measures, and preparing essential personnel actions in close collaboration with the UMG's Budget, Purchasing, and HR departments. Additional responsibilities include supporting the organization of academic events, coordinating stays for guest scientists, assisting in the preparation of reports and grant applications, and maintaining the center's web presence. The successful candidate must be a reliable, communicative, and service-oriented professional with a strong interest in interdisciplinary work and requires proficiency in written and spoken English. Knowledge of SAP and third-party fund administration is highly desirable.
