Job Summary

This PhD position at the University Medical Center Göttingen (UMG) offers a unique opportunity to conduct cutting-edge research within the Translational Neuroinflammation group. The successful candidate will investigate the immunological mechanisms of autoimmune encephalitides, specifically focusing on anti-NMDAR encephalitis. Day-to-day responsibilities include the planning and execution of complex experiments, data analysis, and the co-supervision of interns. A significant portion of the role involves working with novel active immunization mouse models to study antigen-presenting cells and immune cell interactions. This position is ideal for researchers interested in bridging basic immunology and experimental neuroscience. The role is initially limited to one year with a strong option for a two-year extension, providing a stable path for doctoral completion within a prestigious 'City of Science' academic network.
