Job Summary

This role seeks an experienced Science and Matrix Leader to drive the discovery and development of next-generation large molecule biotherapeutics within Roche’s Pharmaceutical Research and Early Development (pRED) organization. The successful candidate will leverage a strong background in cell biology, specifically neuroscience, and extensive industrial drug discovery experience, spanning from target assessment to Entry into Human. Day-to-day responsibilities include leading engaged, cross-functional matrix teams, defining cellular assay strategies for neuroscience projects, and overseeing data analysis for mode-of-action elucidation and lead selection. A key focus is the conceptual development and setup of novel functional cellular assays using cutting-edge readout technologies like flow cytometry and advanced fluorescence microscopy, utilizing physiologically relevant human model systems such as iPSCs and organoids.
