Job Summary

The City of Düsseldorf is seeking a Geodata Processing Officer to join the Düsseldorf Maps team within the Surveying and Cadastral Office. This role is central to expanding and maintaining the city's Geodata Infrastructure (GDI), serving as the primary contact for the browser-based 'Düsseldorf Maps' application. Day-to-day responsibilities involve advising various departments on publishing topics in the map application, organizing necessary data flow, and providing/updating geodata as web services. A core technical aspect is the setup and maintenance of PostGIS databases, expanding the Geodata-Warehouse, and automating data updates using FME software. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Geoinformatics or Geodesy, possesses strong teamwork skills, and is proficient in specialized GIS software like QGIS, GeoServer, FME, and PostGIS, ensuring the city's spatial information remains current and accessible to citizens and professional users.
