Job Summary

This senior leadership role involves overseeing the Engineering department, currently comprising eight employees, for a biotechnology company specializing in pharmaceutical active ingredients for cancer therapy. The Head of Engineering will assume overall responsibility for the maintenance and modernization of complex, highly automated fermentation and processing plants operating under pharmaceutical quality standards (GMP). Key responsibilities include creating concepts, budgets, and resource plans for major investment projects, ensuring efficient project management across all EPCMV phases, and guaranteeing optimal operational safety and plant availability. The ideal candidate is an experienced leader with a background in process engineering, biotechnology, or mechanical engineering, possessing at least five years of specialized and leadership experience in a GMP-regulated environment. Fluency in both German and English is required, along with comprehensive knowledge of pharmaceutical-biotechnological installations (USP/DSP/utilities).

Experience

  • Experience in conceptualizing and implementing modernization and new installation projects
