Job Summary

This role involves supporting the Head of the Quality Management Staff Unit at the State Investigation Office (LUA) in Rhineland-Palatinate, a central state service provider in consumer and health protection. The successful candidate will be crucial in maintaining and supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) and accreditation processes. Day-to-day tasks include independently creating and maintaining QM documentation, managing central document storage, coordinating DAkkS accreditation assessments, and performing regular internal audits across all LUA locations. The position requires a background as a technical assistant (chemical/biological/medical) or laboratory technician, coupled with multi-year experience in a laboratory setting and knowledge of laboratory QMS standards (e.g., ISO/IEC 17025). Strong IT skills, experience with LIMS, and a willingness to travel are essential, offering a secure, full-time, and permanent public service position.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as a chemical/biological/medical-technical assistant or comparable laboratory technician qualification

Experience

  • Multi-year professional experience in a laboratory setting
  • Professional experience in at least one laboratory Quality Management System (e.g., DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025, DIN EN ISO 15189)
  • Proven experience in conducting internal audits (e.g., certified Internal Auditor training)
  • Experience with external assessments by DAkkS
