Job Summary

This role involves overseeing operations in material maintenance and management within fixed logistical maintenance facilities and the Bundeswehr's operational material management center. Key responsibilities include conducting operational monitoring, supporting investigations and evaluations of maintenance work volumes, and contributing to the analysis and forecasting of maintenance performance. The technician will also monitor measures during operational disruptions, determine and monitor key performance indicators, and create logistical situational reports through on-site technical supervision and data-supported evaluations. This position requires regular travel and participation in ongoing training, offering a stable employment environment with flexible working hours and potential for civil servant status.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training as an Electrician, Mechatronics Technician, IT Systems Electrician, or comparable technical vocational training. Master Craftsman or state-certified Technician degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Experience in Bundeswehr logistics, specifically in maintenance/material preservation procedures (levels 1-4) is desired
  • Knowledge and experience in SASPF or SASPF reporting for data acquisition and analysis is desired
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and directives for material preservation and logistical processes is desired
  • Experience in maintenance control and knowledge in material management and procurement is desired
  • Experience in calibration or prior experience within the Bundeswehr Calibration Organization is desired

  • Must be a German citizen (Article 116, Section 1 Basic Law). Must possess a Class B driving license and a Bundeswehr B driving license, or be willing to acquire them. Willingness to drive a service vehicle. Commitment to the liberal democratic basic order. Willingness to undergo a medical examination. Willingness to undergo an extended security check (successful Ü2 security clearance is mandatory). Willingness for regular, multi-day business trips (approx. 40 days/year). No age limit for employment, but for civil servant status, generally must not have completed 50th year of age at time of appointment.
