Job Summary

As an Operations Engineer, you will lead a team of approximately 90 skilled tradespeople, overseeing the technical processing and coordination of economic operations, maintenance, and recording of technical building equipment. Your responsibilities will include managing technical building and plant documentation, analyzing operational data, and developing optimization strategies. You will also be crucial in steering inspections, repairs, and expert assessments of all technical and structural facilities, ensuring compliance with regulations and coordinating external service providers. This role involves active participation in infrastructure planning, construction projects, and providing expert advice to technical building management, civil and military users. Furthermore, you will develop risk assessments, monitor occupational safety, and support HR administration, personnel deployment, and professional training for your team. Required Skills

Education

University degree (Bachelor or Diploma FH) in Electrical Engineering (specializing in Energy and Building Technology), Supply Engineering, or Climate and Refrigeration Technology

Experience

  • Professional experience in leading technical teams (approx. 90 skilled tradespeople)
  • Experience in infrastructure, preferably in facility management
  • Experience with SASPF for creating maintenance plans, notifications, and maintenance orders
  • Experience with SAP software solutions for occupational and environmental protection, including hazardous substances and environmental regulations

Additional

  • Must be a German citizen (as per Article 116, Section 1 of the Basic Law); Must possess a Class B driving license and a Bundeswehr Class B driving license, or be willing to acquire them; Willingness to drive official vehicles; Commitment to the liberal democratic basic order of the Basic Law; Willingness to undergo a medical examination; Willingness to undergo an extended security clearance (Ü2 VS level required); Must not have reached the age of 50 at the time of appointment for potential civil servant status; Willingness to undertake regular domestic business trips; Willingness to participate in regular and advanced training.
