Job Summary
This is a unique career development opportunity for an engineer to qualify over 3-3.5 years as a District Manager for Control and Safety Technology (CST) within the German railway infrastructure. Initially, the role involves qualifying as a Railway Construction Supervisor before transitioning into the District Manager position. Once qualified, the professional will be responsible for ensuring the safe, punctual, and economical rail traffic within their assigned district by managing CST infrastructure (e.g., electronic interlocking systems). Key responsibilities include overseeing maintenance, commissioning and supervising construction projects, managing budgets, and providing technical and disciplinary leadership to the district team. Candidates must hold a degree in electrical, traffic, or automation engineering and possess knowledge of electronic control systems and/or CST, along with familiarity with German construction regulations (HOAI, VOB, VOL). This role requires strong leadership potential, accountability, and the readiness to act as an emergency manager when necessary.

University degree (Bachelor/Master) in Electrical Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Communications Technology, Automation Technology, or a comparable field
Experience
- Successfully completed university degree in Electrical Engineering, Traffic Engineering, Communications Technology, Automation Technology, or a comparable field
- Knowledge of electronic control technology and/or control and safety technology
- Familiarity with the service phases of HOAI, VOB, and VOL, as well as other valid legal construction regulations
- Readiness to acquire necessary qualifications for Railway Construction Supervisor and District Manager for CST
- Motivation to take on leadership responsibility
