Job Summary

This specialist role within TÜV Rheinland's Products division focuses on ensuring the safety, quality, and compliance of international solar power plant projects. Day-to-day, you will manage and lead PV projects globally, overseeing quality control, inspection, and reliability assessment of solar components based on contractual agreements. A core responsibility involves developing detailed test plans for root cause analysis of field failures, supporting crucial expert opinions and warranty claims lodged by clients against their suppliers. Furthermore, you will provide vital technical consulting on quality assurance and risk minimization for international investors, developers, operators, and EPCs. The position requires a strong background in electrical engineering, deep expertise in solar technology and metrological systems (like thermography and IV curves), and fluency in both German and English, making it ideal for a highly qualified professional ready to impact the global renewable energy sector.

Required Skills

Education

Completed training as an Electrical Master, Technician, or a university degree in Electrical Engineering.

Experience

  • Professional experience in solar technology and the application of photovoltaic components (Ideally)
  • In-depth expert knowledge in the application of metrological systems for collecting system characteristic data (e.g., thermography, insulation measurement, and IV characteristic curves)
  • Experience in leading quality control and inspection projects for solar power plants
