Job Summary
As a Laboratory Technician within the Products division at TÜV Rheinland, you will play a critical role in ensuring international product safety and compliance. You will be responsible for conducting chemical, physical, and macrobiological tests, specifically focusing on biodegradation, plant toxicity, and disintegration assays. Your day-to-day work involves the independent planning, execution, and evaluation of complex testing procedures according to normative documents and Quality Management Systems. Beyond routine testing, you will assist in validating new methodologies and optimizing existing ones, such as ecotoxicity tests. This position is ideal for detail-oriented professionals who enjoy working with sophisticated analytical equipment like FTIR spectrometers and pH meters. Required Skills
Education
Completed vocational training as a Laboratory Technician, Chemical Technical Assistant (CTA), Biological Technical Assistant (BTA), or Agricultural Technical Assistant (ATA).
Experience
- Professional experience as a Laboratory Technician (CTA, BTA, or ATA) or in a comparable qualification
- Initial experience in environmental product testing and relevant DIN, EN, ISO standards is preferred
- Practical experience in operating and verifying laboratory analytical equipment
- Experience in handling complex testing tasks and troubleshooting technical laboratory issues
- Proven experience in documenting results and evaluating the accuracy of measurement data
