Job Summary
This role involves supporting the Department of Economy, Integration, Security and Order in Duisburg by serving as a central IT contact and service provider. The IT Officer will be responsible for the administration, maintenance, and continuous development of specialized departmental applications. Key activities include managing access permissions, conducting interface management, and actively participating in the introduction of new IT systems and digital transformation projects. The position requires a strong technical background, either through a degree in Computer Science or a relevant IT apprenticeship combined with at least six years of professional experience. Completed university degree (Diplom FH or Bachelor) in Computer Science OR completed vocational training as an IT Specialist (System Integration or Application Development), Digitalization Management Clerk, IT Systems Clerk, or Administrative Specialist IT (Verwaltungsfachwirt IT)
Experience
- At least 6 years of relevant professional experience following the acquisition of the required qualification (degree or apprenticeship)
- Professional experience in application administration and development
- Professional experience in providing IT consulting to specialized departments
