Job Summary

This role seeks a highly motivated PhD student to join the Translational Pediatric Oncology Research Group at the University Hospital Frankfurt. The successful candidate will focus on investigating dysregulated gene-expression programs in pediatric cancers to identify new therapeutic vulnerabilities. Day-to-day tasks involve designing and executing advanced CRISPR-based genetic perturbation screens, analyzing and interpreting complex epigenetic, transcriptomic, and proteomic datasets using computational methods, and functionally validating candidate genes in cellular models. This position offers substantial scientific freedom, access to cutting-edge technologies and patient-derived cancer models, and the opportunity to contribute directly to precision-oncology strategies for high-risk pediatric tumors. The ideal candidate holds a Master’s degree in Life Sciences, possesses practical experience in molecular biology, and is proficient in English, ready to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team.
