Job Summary

This Postdoctoral position at the University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf (UKE) offers a unique opportunity to lead an independent translational research project focused on the role of Polyphosphate in thromboinflammatory and metabolic diseases. The successful candidate will combine ex vivo analyses of Polyphosphate signal transduction and metabolism with in vivo models of thromboinflammation and metabolism, working closely within an interdisciplinary team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated scientist with a PhD in life sciences, possessing strong foundational knowledge in molecular and cellular biology and, ideally, practical experience with experimental mouse models. This is a chance to significantly advance a scientific career in a high-impact clinical research environment, contributing to projects of high clinical relevance.

Completed scientific university degree (Biology, Biochemistry, or related Life Sciences) with a Doctorate/PhD

Experience

  • Professional experience in scientific research (Postdoctoral level)
  • Foundational knowledge in molecular and cellular biology
  • Practical experience with experimental mouse models (ideal)
  • Experience in Polyphosphate Biology (advantageous)
