Job Summary

This role involves working as a Research Associate within the 'Digitalization of Battery Cell Manufacturing' division, focusing on building, operating, and researching the digital infrastructure for battery production. The core responsibilities include the data-driven advancement and optimization of battery cell production, spanning from individual machinery to entire factories and the complete value chain. The successful candidate will systematically prepare data from heterogeneous sources, develop scalable Data Pre-processing Pipelines, and conceptualize and maintain data ontologies for semantic modeling and improved system data exchange. A key component is identifying potentials for data-driven use cases, developing innovative process improvement solutions, and analyzing methods for simulation and intelligent coupling of simulation models. This position is attractive as it offers the opportunity to shape the future of battery cell production in Europe, contribute to a lighthouse project, and potentially pursue a Ph.D. in a self-developed topic, all within a collaborative research environment.
