Job Summary

This role seeks a Functional Safety Expert to ensure the security and reliability of embedded systems and applications for a diverse, international client base, particularly focusing on rail technology and transportation. Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and assessing safety-critical systems, conducting rigorous audits, assessments, and reviews, and providing expert guidance to clients on secure product design throughout the entire development lifecycle. The ideal candidate holds an Engineering degree in Computer Science, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering and possesses initial professional experience in embedded systems development, specifically focusing on functional safety, hardware, and software design. This position offers a unique opportunity to deepen expertise across various safety aspects (OS, semiconductors, autonomous functions), become a certified trainer, and contribute to national and international standardization committees, all while working in a hybrid model based in Munich. Strong proficiency in English (Fluent) and good German (Intermediate) are essential for success.
