Job Summary

This role involves the independent testing of electrical and non-electrical industrial products designed for use in hazardous, potentially explosive environments. As a Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for the preparation, setup, and documentation of tests in accordance with international standards and specific test plans. Beyond routine testing, you will support the Laboratory Manager in organizing operations, ensuring timely project completion, and maintaining laboratory equipment and calibration. A key aspect of the position is the development and verification of new testing methods and experimental setups. This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who enjoys technical problem-solving and quality management. Required Skills

Education

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a comparable qualification as a State-Certified Technician or Master Craftsman (e.g., Electrician, Electronics Technician).

Experience

  • Several years of practical experience in conducting technical tests, preferably in explosion protection or electrical safety
  • Proven experience in the construction, modification, and adaptation of test setups and experimental facilities
  • Experience in evaluating test results and conducting technical plausibility checks
  • Experience working within quality management systems for laboratories

Languages

English (Fluent)

Additional

  • Valid Class B driver's license required. Must have strong manual dexterity for building test setups. Location-based role in a laboratory environment.
