Job Summary

The Deutsche Bahn (DB) is seeking an Environmental Management Specialist focused on Nature and Species Protection to support regional railway infrastructure projects across Germany. This crucial role involves providing expert environmental guidance throughout all planning and execution phases (HOAI). Day-to-day responsibilities include reviewing and quality-checking third-party plans and expert reports (such as UVP, LBP, and FFH-VP), managing the proper integration of nature and species protection requirements during both planning and construction, and leading technical coordination with authorities and stakeholders (including municipalities and citizens). The ideal candidate holds a degree in Landscape Management, Geography, Biology, Landscape Ecology, or a related field, and possesses professional experience in environmental and landscape planning, specifically within nature and species protection. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to sustainable infrastructure development for future generations within one of Germany's largest engineering organizations.
