Job Summary
This role involves taking technical responsibility for the strategic development, integration, and requirements management within the software engineering domain for the City of Stuttgart's central IT service provider. The Domain Architect will be crucial in designing a coherent, future-proof overall architecture utilizing robust technologies to sustainably optimize efficiency, effectiveness, and scalability across work processes. Key responsibilities include capturing, analyzing, and prioritizing requirements from various city departments, closely coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring transparent architectural planning. The ideal candidate will evaluate new technologies, frameworks, and agile scaling methods to maintain a modern and future-proof software landscape, requiring a university degree in Computer Science or a comparable field and substantial professional experience in complex software architecture and strategic IT planning.
Required Skills
Education
University degree, preferably in Computer Science or a comparable field. Recognition of foreign degrees in Germany is required.
Experience
- Several years of relevant professional experience in Computer Science or a comparable field
- Professional experience in the conception and implementation of complex software architectures
- Professional experience in strategic IT planning
- Experience in the technical leadership of interdisciplinary teams (Ideal)
- Experience in supervising academic work (Ideal)
Languages
Additional
- Must possess verifiable German language skills (C1 level) for written and spoken communication. For non-German degrees, official recognition or proof of equivalence in Germany is required, along with certified translations for non-German documents. Position is located in Stuttgart, Germany.
