Job Summary

This is a leadership opportunity within Stuttgart's Waste Management (AWS) division, focusing on establishing and leading the Waste Management Monitoring team. The role involves managing a team of approximately eight employees responsible for investigating reports of contamination, such as illegal dumping, coordinating timely cleanup efforts, and identifying perpetrators to initiate fine proceedings and cost recovery. Key responsibilities include planning and coordinating team deployments, collaborating with public order and environmental agencies, ensuring operational goals are met economically and organizationally, and optimizing workflows and safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess relevant professional experience and expertise in waste logistics, environmental law, and occupational safety regulations, along with strong communication skills and proficiency in MS Office, making this a pivotal role in maintaining urban cleanliness.

Required Skills

Education

Completed vocational training in commercial, technical, logistics, or administrative fields, or as a specialist for circular economy and waste management, or comparable qualification in traffic, logistics, security, technology, or environment.

Experience

  • Several years of relevant professional experience
  • Desirable knowledge in waste logistics and waste law (KrWG, EfbV)
  • Desirable knowledge in labor and social law (ArbZG, SGB VII, accident prevention regulations)
  • Desirable knowledge in occupational safety law (ArbSchG, DGUV)
