Job Summary

This leadership role involves taking primary responsibility for the safe and proper operation and maintenance of highly automated baggage handling systems (approximately 100 km in length) at Frankfurt Airport, adhering to DIN 31051 standards. The Head of Maintenance will provide disciplinary leadership for approximately 300 employees, fostering their professional development and ensuring high-performance teamwork supported by an experienced management team. Key responsibilities include planning, coordinating, and implementing electrical, electronic, and mechanical maintenance measures in collaboration with specialized departments to meet availability targets and comply with normative and manufacturer specifications. The successful candidate will also be responsible for monitoring occupational safety, comprehensive documentation, managing productivity and profitability, including budget planning, and strategically developing maintenance systems using innovative approaches. This position requires a university degree in a relevant engineering field and significant experience leading large teams.
