Job Summary

This role involves serving as a Telecommunications Engineer focused on IT network and system administration within Hamburg's largest energy distribution network operator. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing, administering, and implementing IT system components, ensuring the successful implementation of information security objectives within technical IT environments. A core function is the conception and testing of network designs, along with cross-departmental coordination of transmission technology matters, particularly in secondary technology projects. The successful candidate will prepare tender documents, manage the acceptance of external services, and develop measures to secure quality, costs, and deadlines. This position requires a degree in telecommunications or information technology and extensive professional experience, coupled with deep knowledge of transmission technologies like MPLS and IP, and practical experience with routers, switches, and firewalls. The role also includes participation in an on-call rotation.
