Job Summary

The Justus Liebig University Giessen is seeking a highly motivated Technical Assistant to join the AI-RON research group, focusing on AI-assisted precision medicine in neurooncology. This full-time, temporary role (until December 2027) involves conducting and evaluating advanced molecular biological analyses, including Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) and DNA Methylation Arrays, aimed at predicting molecular signatures of brain tumors for personalized diagnostics. Day-to-day tasks include supporting sample preparation, assisting with histological analyses, and organizing complex laboratory workflows. The successful candidate must possess completed vocational training as an MTL, MTA, BTA, CTA, or equivalent, coupled with proven experience in molecular biological methods. While histology knowledge is advantageous, the primary focus is on a structured, self-reliant working style and a strong commitment to learning and implementing new technologies, such as Spatial Transcriptomics and Nanopore analysis, within an interdisciplinary research environment.
