This role as a Modelling & Simulation Systems Engineer offers the opportunity to shape the future of aerospace technology by working with Airbus Defence and Space GmbH on pioneering projects. Day-to-day responsibilities involve defining and planning work packages, rigorously monitoring progress, and ensuring schedule adherence by identifying technical dependencies and planning weaknesses. A core function is supporting the subsystem development lifecycle, including organizing the provision of subsystems and conducting content-based root cause analysis for concept or design issues. The engineer will define mitigation strategies, analyze their impact on project planning, and collaborate across functional teams to understand complex system architectures and stakeholder needs. Key requirements include a degree in Computer Science or Engineering, expertise in V-Model based software development and system engineering tools like DOORS, and practical experience designing complex distributed systems.
