Job Summary

The Service Center for Rural Development and Agricultural Funding (SLA) is seeking a GIS Organizer and Analyst to strengthen their team, focusing on the development and maintenance of Geoinformation Systems for agricultural funding and land consolidation. This role involves acting as a crucial interface between operational land consolidation activities and the official ALKIS cadastral system. Day-to-day tasks include analyzing requirements, designing concepts for GIS solution enhancements in land consolidation, and actively participating in the LEFIS project, including software testing. A key technical responsibility is the development and adaptation of GIS extensions and the creation of Python scripts for process automation. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for introducing new systems, providing training, and offering user support for the land consolidation application portfolio. This position offers a long-term, permanent perspective within the State of Lower Saxony, flexible working models, and ample opportunities for professional development.

Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's or Diploma degree (FH) preferably in Geoinformatics or a comparable technical/natural science field of study

Experience

  • Knowledge of GIS software (QGIS, ArcMap) and database systems (PostGIS, Oracle)
  • Experience with the programming language Python and creating Python scripts for GIS plugins
  • Professional experience in requirements analysis and concept design for GIS solutions
  • Experience regarding the ALKIS data model (GeoInfoDok) or the LEFIS application is advantageous
