Job Summary

The Service Center for Rural Development and Agricultural Funding (SLA) is seeking two GIS Developers to join their team focused on geobased software products. In this role, you will be responsible for the realization and continuous further development of an application used for the comprehensive processing of Rural Land Consolidation procedures under the Land Consolidation Act. Day-to-day tasks involve participating in all development activities, including programming, creating automated tests, refactoring, documentation, and commissioning. You will also engage in nationwide technical working groups and contribute to professional requirements analysis and effort estimations. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in (Geo-, Administrative, Business) Informatics or an IT-related field, excellent programming skills in GIS system development, and proficiency in Python, PostgreSQL, and QGIS. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's/Diploma degree (FH) in (Geo-, Administrative, Business) Informatics or another IT-related subject, or equivalent abilities and experience acquired in practice.

Experience

  • Professional experience in GIS systems development
  • Experience in programming
  • Professional experience in an IT-related field (if degree is not present)
  • Knowledge of Rural Land Consolidation procedures (desirable)
  • Knowledge of official land registry (desirable)

Additional

  • Must demonstrate secure command of the German language, written and spoken, at least at C1 level. Interest in information security and data protection is welcomed. Permanent contract.
