Job Summary

The City of Stuttgart is seeking an IT Vulnerability Management Coordinator to join the IT Security Competence Center (IT-S CC). This crucial, permanent role involves taking technical and organizational responsibility for city-wide IT vulnerability management. Key responsibilities include designing, establishing, and continuously developing the vulnerability management system, ensuring integration with critical infrastructure (KRITIS), and optimizing city-wide security processes and concepts. The coordinator will manage stakeholder communication, conduct awareness campaigns and audits, and provide expert advice on IT vulnerability management to various departments. This position is ideal for an IT professional with strong expertise in security standards (BSI IT-Grundschutz, ISO/IEC 27001) and frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, OWASP) who is looking to secure the digital landscape of a major German city.

Required Skills

Education

Completed university degree with an IT focus (preferably Computer Science or Business Informatics) or comparable qualification; alternatively, completed IT vocational training with several years of relevant professional experience.

Experience

  • Professional experience in IT-related field (required if possessing vocational training instead of a degree)
  • Professional experience in vulnerability management
  • Professional experience with general IT security measures
