Job Summary

This role serves as the legally responsible person for the electrical department within the Stuttgart Fire Department (Branddirektion). You will be tasked with the setup, operation, and maintenance of a legally compliant electrical organization, overseeing approximately 730 full-time and 1,900 volunteer personnel. Day-to-day, you will provide technical supervision for all electrical specialists, ensure the proper condition of mobile electrical equipment—ranging from battery chargers to 40-ton mobile cranes—and actively contribute to occupational health and safety. A unique aspect of this position is the opportunity to work at the intersection of public safety and high-stakes technical maintenance, collaborating closely with procurement for specialized firefighting equipment. Required Skills

Education

Master Electrician (Elektromeister) and qualification as a Responsible Electrical Specialist (vEFK).

Experience

  • Professional experience as a qualified Responsible Electrical Specialist (vEFK)
  • Practical experience in the field of electrical engineering and safety organization
  • Experience in personnel management and organizational coordination
  • Experience in firefighting technology or emergency services equipment is advantageous
