Job Summary

As an SAP Basis IT Architect for the City of Stuttgart, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the city's SAP landscape. Your daily responsibilities include deriving and generating the future SAP architecture from the IT strategy and project portfolio, with a primary focus on the S/4HANA transformation and UI/mobility technologies. You will act as a key technical advisor, ensuring system integration, IT security, and compliance requirements are met while creating long-term SAP development plans. This position is unique as it offers the stability of public service employment within the SAP Competence Center Stuttgart (CCS), providing the opportunity to lead large-scale digital transformation projects for one of Germany's major metropolitan administrations. You will collaborate closely with various departments to translate business requirements into robust technical solutions, identifying synergies to optimize the overall system environment.

Required Skills

Education

University degree in IT or a comparable technical field of study. For foreign degrees, official recognition in Germany is required.

Experience

  • Several years of professional experience in SAP architecture and technical IT environments
  • Proven experience in S/4HANA transformation projects
  • Experience in implementing compliance requirements and system integration using interface technologies
  • Professional background in requirements engineering and technical consulting
  • Experience in the public sector or civil service is beneficial but not mandatory
