Job Summary

This role involves critical laboratory operations within the Central Institute of the Bundeswehr Medical Service in Kiel, Berlin branch. The successful candidate will be responsible for the entire sample handling process, including registration, preparation, proper storage, labeling, and distribution according to specific examination goals and quality standards (DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025). Key duties include preparing food samples, conducting physical and physicochemical preliminary examinations (such as Near-Infrared Spectrometry and water activity screening), and meticulously documenting all results using laboratory data systems (WinLIMS/BALVI/iP Mobil XT). Additionally, the technician will manage laboratory supplies, analytical gases, chemicals, standards, and reagents, and ensure the proper disposal of hazardous waste.
