Job Summary

The Senior Data Engineer at Roche PT will be crucial in developing and optimizing the data infrastructure supporting pharmaceutical operations and data products within the Pharma Technical Operations (PT) Digital and Operational Excellence (PTE) organization. This role involves designing and building scalable data pipelines and storage solutions for both real-time and batch processing, while leading the creation of FAIR (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) data products to enhance decision-making. Day-to-day tasks include collaborating with data scientists and subject matter experts to curate and transform data, acquiring and processing data from diverse sources into Big Data platforms like Snowflake, and upholding strict data governance and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive data engineering experience, including designing large-scale systems, and will mentor junior engineers on best practices (DevOps, Data Streaming).
