Job Summary

This role involves working at the critical interface of research and production within the Raw Material Development Protein Chemistry department, focusing on developing protein-based raw materials for diagnostic tests, primarily for the Elecsys platform. The Scientist will be responsible for researching, developing, optimizing, and validating production-ready processes for manufacturing and analyzing immunological reagents, such as specialized antibody and antigen conjugates. Key activities include utilizing state-of-the-art chromatographic methods and established biochemical, physicochemical, and immunological analytics for protein characterization. The position requires taking technical responsibility for lab technicians, acting as a subject matter expert for project partners, and ensuring processes comply with highly regulated in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs) standards. Required Skills

Education

PhD in Biochemistry, Chemistry, Biology, Molecular Biotechnology, or a related discipline. Alternatively, a Master's degree with several years of professional experience, preferably with a protein chemistry background.

Experience

  • In-depth specialized knowledge in protein chemistry and biochemistry
  • Sound experience in protein-analytical characterization (physicochemical, biochemical, immunological)
  • Professional experience in process transfer to production for highly regulated in-vitro diagnostics (IVDs)
  • Experience acting as a subject matter expert and consultant for project partners
