Job Summary

This role involves executing critical wafer processing steps within a cleanroom environment for a leading applied research organization. The Microtechnologist/Operator will operate various automated process equipment using an electronic Manufacturing Execution System (MES) for tasks ranging from wafer surface structuring and etching to thin-film deposition. A key responsibility is ensuring quality assurance and traceability by meticulously controlling and documenting all results via MES. Furthermore, the role supports process optimization and error analysis by assisting scientific staff with experimental designs, preparing and providing necessary working materials (e.g., cleanroom attire), and performing regular maintenance and functional checks on production equipment. This position requires a technical background, practical experience with complex manufacturing machinery, and a commitment to strict cleanroom hygiene protocols, offering deep insights into pioneering microelectronic research and development.

Required Skills

Education

Completed technical apprenticeship as a Microtechnologist, Physics Laboratory Assistant, or comparable qualification

Experience

  • Practical experience in operating complex manufacturing machines
  • Initial practical experience with cleanroom conditions, ideally in MEMS, semiconductor, or optoelectronics manufacturing
