Job Summary

This role involves supporting the digitalization efforts of the City of Dortmund by joining the End-Device and License Management team. The core focus is on coordinating IT framework contracts and managing software licenses for approximately 10,000 Windows clients and associated infrastructure. Day-to-day tasks include drafting performance specifications for hardware procurement, coordinating various hardware and system software framework agreements (PCs, TFTs, presentation hardware), and managing related service contracts from planning through completion. You will also be the primary contact for contract partners, meticulously verify service delivery, and support the team in ensuring legally compliant license usage through management and controlling activities. This position requires strong administrative expertise, knowledge of IT regulatory frameworks, and excellent negotiation skills, offering an exciting opportunity to work autonomously within a competent team of administrative and IT professionals.

Required Skills

Education

Required: Successful completion of Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II) or equivalent administrative qualification (Beamte Laufbahngruppe 2, 1. Einstiegsamt)

Experience

  • Professional experience as a civil servant (Career Group 2, Entry Level 1, non-technical administrative service) OR as a certified administrative specialist (Verwaltungsfachangestellte)
  • Successful completion of Administrative Course II (Verwaltungslehrgang II)
  • Experience in applying IT regulatory frameworks or willingness to acquire quickly
  • Desirable: Knowledge of contract and license law or willingness to acquire quickly
