Job Summary
This role is for a Research Scientist specializing in Forensic Molecular Biology within the Institute of Legal Medicine. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting forensic genetic findings, preparing expert opinions for law enforcement and courts, and conducting paternity assessments. They will work in a DIN EN ISO 17025 accredited laboratory, contribute to the establishment of new methods, and participate in the TrACE proficiency test, an external quality control for laboratories across Europe. The position offers an opportunity to work in state-of-the-art laboratories with a dedicated team, engage in exciting projects, and contribute to research innovation within an interdisciplinary environment.
Required Skills
Education
Completed university degree in Natural Sciences (Diploma or Master's degree); a completed doctorate is desirable
Experience
- Professional experience in molecular biology or genetics
- Prior experience in forensic molecular biology is desirable
