Job Summary

This role involves ensuring comprehensive endpoint security for the City of Stuttgart's IT infrastructure, specifically within the Digitalization, Organization, and IT Department (DO.IT). The System Administrator will be responsible for creating, administering, and maintaining city-wide technical guidelines for endpoint security products, including Anti-Virus, ransomware protection, security updates, and disk encryption. Key tasks include managing central Group Policy Objects (GPOs) for security features like Windows Client Firewall and AppLocker, and maintaining the heterogeneous, cross-platform infrastructure supporting endpoint security. The ideal candidate will also analyze and develop solutions for IT forensic measures on client systems, actively participating in cross-departmental security initiatives to ensure compliance with BSI IT-Baseline Protection standards. This is a crucial, permanent position focused on protecting municipal client devices across Windows, Citrix, and iOS environments.
