Job Summary

This role seeks Junior and Senior IT System Administrators to join the Bavarian State Criminal Police Office (BLKA) in Munich, supporting a modern, dynamic IT environment for over 43,000 users across the Bavarian Police force. Day-to-day responsibilities are diverse, covering specialized areas such as database administration (SQL Server, Oracle, SAP), network administration (LAN/WAN, innovative infrastructure), central system administration (VMware, Storage, Private Cloud development), telecommunications (VoIP, UC, PKI), client endpoint management, or IT security (SOC, network boundary protection). The ideal candidate will have a background in IT, Computer Science, or a related technical field, either through a degree or a specialized vocational qualification. Required Skills

Education

Bachelor's degree, Diploma (FH), Master's degree, or Diploma (University) in Computer Science, Business Informatics, Industrial Engineering, or a comparable technical field; OR completed technical vocational training (e.g., IT Specialist for System Integration or IT System Electronics Technician), ideally with further training as a State-Certified Technician.

Experience

  • Professional experience in one of the specified areas (Database, Network, Systems, Applications, TK, Security) is ideal
  • Experience with security, performance, availability, monitoring, and automation measures
  • Experience in 2nd and 3rd-level support
